OVERVIEW

Michael Drury is a partner at McCloskey, Waring & Drury LLP.  His practice focuses on advising and counseling insurance companies with respect to complex insurance coverage disputes and representing insurance companies in coverage litigation involving construction claims, breach of contract claims, mass torts, product liability claims, pollution claims, excess workers’ compensation coverage and bad faith claims.  Mr. Drury has successfully litigated numerous inter-carrier disputes involving primary/excess coverage, additional insured coverage and contribution, indemnity and subrogation claims.  His experience and expertise include advising clients and handling claims arising from Commercial General Liability Policies, Umbrella Policies, Following Form Excess Policies, Owner Controlled Insurance Policies (OCIPs), Contractor Controlled Insurance Policies (CCIPs) and Commercial Lines Policies. 

 

Originally from New Jersey, Mr. Drury practiced for many years as a litigator at two National law firms.  His prior litigation practice focused on product liability, medical devices, employment, real estate, and disability access.  He earned his B.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame, majoring in Finance, where he was a member of the Men’s Varsity Soccer team that won the Midwestern Collegiate Conference Tournament, earning Notre Dame’s first NCAA Tournament bid in 1988. Mr. Drury received both his J.D. (1995) and L.L.M (2005) in Taxation from the University of San Diego School of Law.  When he is not assisting his clients, Mr. Drury enjoys spending time with his family, watching sports…especially soccer, and oenophilia based travel to California Wine Country.
