OVERVIEW
Ashley E. Hedgecock is a partner at McCloskey, Waring & Drury LLP. Her practice focuses on advising and assisting insurance companies with respect to coverage issues involving all aspects of general claims handling and resolution, including the investigation and analysis of claims, defense and indemnity obligations, and extra-contractual exposures. Ms. Hedgecock frequently provides advice regarding coverage obligations related to liability policies, including issues related to additional insured coverage, priority of coverage, wrongful acts coverage, and Coverage B. Ms. Hedgecock has successfully litigated and mediated numerous inter-carrier and policyholder disputes.

Ms. Hedgecock is a first-generation college student, and received her B.A. from the University of California, Irvine, double majoring in Political Science, as well as Criminology, Law and Society. As an undergraduate student, Ms. Hedgecock studied abroad at the University of Sydney in Australia and served as an Ambassador for the Embassy of Australia regarding the promotion of study abroad programs in Australia.
Ms. Hedgecock received her J.D. with a concentration in Civil Litigation from the University of San Diego School of Law. During law school, Ms. Hedgecock externed with the Honorable William V. Gallo, at the United States District Court for the Southern District of California. She also served as a Lead Articles Editor for the San Diego Law Review and as a member of the Moot Court Associate Board. Ms. Hedgecock received both the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program Distinguished Service Award and the State Bar of California Wiley W. Manuel Award for her Pro Bono service.
When she is not assisting her clients, Ms. Hedgecock enjoys traveling to race in ultramarathons, hiking, learning to crochet, and spending time with her husband and two small dogs.
