Alexis Buz is an associate at McCloskey, Waring & Drury LLP. His practice focuses on advising and assisting clients with respect to coverage issues involving all aspects of general claims handling and resolution, including the investigation and analysis of claims, defense, and indemnity obligations. Mr. Buz also represents insurance companies in litigated matters involving all aspects of coverage. Prior to joining MWD, Mr. Buz was a general corporate associate representing emerging and public companies, covering a variety of transactional matters, including entity formation, corporate governance, mergers & acquisitions, and public offerings.​

Mr. Buz is a first-generation college student. He graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a B.A. in Ethnic Studies and a B.S. in Public Health. Mr. Buz received his J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley,  School of Law where he was awarded the GDP Scholarship. During law school, Mr. Buz participated in the New Business Community Law Clinic and the Startup Law Initiative. He also served as an Articles Editor for the Berkeley La Raza Law Journal and as the Private Interest Chair of La Alianza Law Students Association. When he is not assisting his clients, Mr. Buz enjoys tasting agave spirits and distillates, searching for the best tacos al pastor, practicing Muay Thai, and traveling.
